SSC CGL Examination Result 2017

Before candidates are finally selected they have to crack all the three stages of the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination.
Candidates first need to apply for the CGL Tier-I Examination and qualify the same. After they qualify the Tier-I examination, they can proceed to apply for the next level of the SSC CGL Tier-II examination.
The shortlisted candidates who qualify the second stage (CGL Tier-II Examination), are called for the interview and skill test.
A final list of the successful candidates is prepared after interview, skill test and the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). CPT is mandatory for those who have applied for the post of ‘Assistant accountant’.

When the SSC CGL result is announced?

  • The result of the SSC CGL exam is held in the month of August and the result is announced in the month of September.
  • The successful candidates can appear in the Tier-II exam in the month of October and result is out in the month of February.
  • Final result of the shortlisted candidates is announced in the end of May.

Cut-off Marks for SSC CGL Examination

  • The cut-off marks are actually the minimum number of qualifying marks which a candidate needs to have to be shortlisted.
  • SSC decides every year what cut-off should be kept for all the candidates of different category. Cut-off can vary as per the number of candidates and the availability.
  • When the final result is out SSC declares the marks of the candidates for the Combined Graduate Level Examination and publishes it on the website.
