1.Telangana launches India's first social innovation hub in Nizamabad



The Telangana government has launched India's first social innovation centre -- The ‘Kakatiya Hub For Social Innovation’ in Nizamabad

‘Kakatiya Hub For Social Innovation’ funded by the Telangana government and implemented through Kakatiya Sandbox will function like a rural incubator to encourage entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.

The move is expected to create a model for promoting entrepreneurs in rural and semi-urban areas in the country.

2. 2% reservation for sport persons in government jobs: Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das

                                      
The state  give two per cent reservation to sports persons in government jobs and nutritious food to them.

To promote football, Kamal Clubs are being set up, and for this the government would give kits to players and competitions would be held at block, district and state levels.

3. World's longest commercial flight lands in New Zealand


1.The world’s longest commercial flight has landed in New Zealand having taken off almost more than 9,000 miles away in Qatar.

2.Qatar Airways’ non-stop service from Doha to Auckland landed at 7.25am (6.25pm GMT on Sunday) after spending 16 hours and 23 minutes in the air.

3.“We’ve officially landed in Auckland,” tweeted the airline as its long-range Boeing 777-200LR made aviation history.

4.With four pilots on board taking shifts, the plane passed through 10 time zones on its 9,032-mile journey.

4. India to host FIBA Women’s Asia Cup in July in Bengaluru


1.India will host FIBA Women’s Asia Cup basketball tournament in July, Basketball Federation of India announced.

2.The continental flagship tournament for women will be held here from July 23 to 29.

3.India has also been given another continental level tournament — the FIBA U-16 Women’s Asian Championship — which will be held from October 22 to 28 in Hyderabad.

4.This will be the first time since 2009 that India will host a major FIBA (International Basketball Federation) event.
