1) Madhya Pradesh: Tribal festival ‘Bhagoria’ to begin in Jhabua

1. The annual tribal festival ‘Bhagoria’ will begin in Jhabua and four other districts of Madhya Pradesh from Monday.
2. The week-long festival is organised at different Bhagoria haats (local markets) in Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Khargone and Barwani districts in western Madhya Pradesh
2) Former Minister MP Y Yaima passes away
1.Yumnam Yaima Singh , former MP and Minister,passed away yesterday after brief illness at his residence at Oinam in Bishenpur district. Yaima was 95.
2. He had served as Minister for seven terms. He was also the Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly and Memberof Lok Sabha
3)India to host 10th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance
Image result for 10th International Conference on Theory and Practice1. Union Minister of Electronics & Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad will inaugurate ICEGOV 2017, the 10th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance.
2. The three-day conference is being hosted for the first time in India New Delhi, in collaboration with United Nations University and UNESCO.
3. As many as 560 papers from around 60 countries will be presented, the highest number of paper submission in the history of ICEGOV, an official press release said.
4. The conference will have “Building Knowledge Societies: From Digital Government to Digital Empowerment” as its theme.

5)Raymond Kopa, French Football Legend Passes Away
Image result for Raymond Kopa1.Former France soccer great Raymond Kopa has died at the age of 85, a local newspaper reported on Friday, citing family sources.
2.Kopa died around 0800 in Angers, western France, daily Le Courrier de L’Ouest wrote on its website
3.He was one of four French players, with Michel Platini, Zinedine Zidane and Jean-Pierre Papin, to have won the Ballon d’Or, football’s top individual award.
4.Kopa, who was born in northern France in a family of Polish immigrants, won three consecutive European Cups with Real Madrid from 1957.
6)13th ECO summit kicks off in Islamabad

Image result for 13th ECO summit kicks off in Islamabad.1.The 13th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) has started in the Pakistani capital Islamabad today (Wednesday) to focus on enhanced economic cooperation and regional connectivity.
2.All the ten member states including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan besides a special representative from China are participating in the summit.
3.The theme of the 13th Summit is “Connectivity for Regional Prosperity”, which assumes special significance in the backdrop of monumental project of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
4.At the opening session, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was elected as chairman of ECO.

7)Government approves Rs 756cr scheme to treat cataract patients
Image result for cataract patients1.With an aim to free India from cataract by 2022, the government has approved a Rs 756 crore scheme to treat over 700 lakh such patients in the next five years.
2.“Big relief to cataract patients: Modi govt approves scheme of Rs 756 crore for the treatment of 786 lakh cataract patients in 5 years,
3.The scheme would render Rs 2,000 as financial assistance for each operation, including cost of lenses.
