1) First ever National Conference on 'Mission Mode to address Under-Nutrition' held in New Delhi
•The Ministry of Women and Child Development holds the first ever National Conference in New Delhi on Mission Mode to address Under-Nutrition in the country. This conference is being organized  keeping in mind the goal of “Malnutrition Free India-2022”.

•The National Conference, first of its kind, aims at bringing convergence at District/Block levels of the three key Departments (Health & Family Welfare, ICDS/Social Welfare and Drinking Water and Sanitation) wherein a roadmap would be drawn to evolve an appropriate strategy in tackling the problem of stunting, under-nutrition and wasting comprehensively and conclusively.

2) Tripura, First State to Set Up Family Welfare Committees
•Tripura has become the first state in the country to set up family welfare district committees to examine the complaints of women against their husbands and in-laws and find an amicable solution.

•Tripura High Court is the first high court among 24 high courts of the country that has constituted the family welfare district committees. The new system would be valid for the next six months and after that National Legal Services Authority (NLSA) would submit a report of its performance to the apex court, on the basis of which a new course of action would be decided.

3) Rajnath Singh Launches Intelligence Wing of SSB and WARB App
•Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has launched first Intelligence Wing of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Welfare & Rehabilitation Board (WARB) App in New Delhi authorized to Protect the shared borders of India with Nepal and Bhutan.

•The intelligence wing will gather actionable information in a bid to enhance operational efficiency. WARB app comprises features to facilitate retired CAPFs and Assam Rifles personnel to get their grievances redressed, seek skill development and other relevant and important information.

4) 13th Inter-Governmental Commission Meeting in Kazakhstan
•Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan is in Astana, Kazakhstan to co-chair the 13th Meeting of Inter-Governmental Commission (IGC) with Kazakhstan.

•Mr Kanat Bozumbayev, Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan will co-chair the meeting from Kazakhstan side. The IGC meeting aims to follow up on the agenda set between India and Kazakhstan during the two visits of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to Kazakhstan.

5) Asian Indoor Games: Purnima Wins Gold in Pentathlon
•India won its first athletics gold, through Purnima Hembram in women’s pentathlon, in the fifth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games at Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. 

•India also got two silvers, through Sanjivani Jadhav in women’s 3000m and Tejinder Singh Toor in men’s shot put, and a bronze through Kerala’s V. Neena in women’s long jump.

6) Lewis Hamilton Wins Singapore Grand Prix
•Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton won the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, in Singapore. Hamilton’s rival Sebastian Vettel withdrew in the middle of the race due to his damaged Ferrari car.

•He was followed by Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo in the 2nd position and Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas in the 3rd.
