1) Union Minister launches Pradhan Mantri LPG Panchayat in Gujarat
•Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan has launched Pradhan Mantri LPG Panchayat at Mota Ishanpur village in Gandhinagar district of Gujarat. According to Dharmendra Pradhan total one lakh, Pradhan Mantri LPG Panchayats would be organized across the country in next one and half year to provide an interactive platform to the rural LPG users. 

•About 100 such beneficiaries- most of them women have participated in this LPG Panchayat. Mr Pradhan also inaugurated the Skill Development Institute at Adalaj near Ahmedabad as part of National Skill Development Mission.

2) PM Modi to inaugurate ONGC's new corporate office in New Delhi tomorrow
•Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate ONGC's new corporate office in New Delhi tomorrow. It has been renamed as Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Urja Bhawan. 

•The swanky but green-building, built at a cost of 600 crore rupees, was completed a year ago and now houses corporate office of India's largest oil and gas producer and its overseas subsidiary ONGC Videsh Ltd. Mr Modi will also unveil a statue of Deendayal Upadhyaya and address a gathering.

3) Centre to launch 15-day campaign next month to promote development & cleanliness in rural areas
•The Centre will launch a 15-day campaign next month to promote development and cleanliness in rural areas. The 'Gram Samridhi Evam Swachhta' campaign will begin on the 1st of next month in partnership with state governments. 

•Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has written to all Members of Parliament in this regard. He has urged them to spearhead the campaign in the villages they have adopted. 

•The Minister asked the MPs to facilitate various programmes at the panchayat level for holistic development of villages. He also urged them to emphasise on complete immunisation of children and special programmes to reduce the dropout rate among girl students.

•Mr Tomar also suggested administering a pledge to villagers to make their surroundings open-defecation free. He recommended creating awareness about government schemes through camps, cultural activities, and house-to-house campaigns.

4) PM Modi to lay foundation stone for AIIMS Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh on October 3rd
•Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of a new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh on the 3rd of next month.

•Union Health Minister JP Nadda has expressed deep gratitude to the Prime Minister for sanctioning the move saying it will provide much needed tertiary medical services to a vast population in Himachal Pradesh and other northern states. 

•Mr Nadda said, AIIMS, with its multiple disciplines, will herald the hilly state towards comprehensive development and growth.

5) West Bengal Gets $300 Million ADB Loan
•Multilateral funding agency ADB has sanctioned a USD 300 million loan facility for carrying forward fiscal reforms in West Bengal. The board of Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a loan of USD 300 million to continue a comprehensive series of fiscal reforms in West Bengal.

•West Bengal, for the first time in 2012 had received a USD 400 million from ADB, its first policy based lending with an aim to create a fiscal space necessary to sustain higher public investment in the eastern India.

6) India bags 4 more Medals at 5th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Turkmenistan
•In the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games at Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, India bagged four medals. Sajan Prakash of India finished second with the silver medal in the Men's 100-metre butterfly event. Divya Gurling Shilwantand Pratiksha Chandrakant Parhar bagged a bronze each in women's Alysh classic in 70 kg and 75 kg categories in the Belt Wrestling Discipline.

•Wrestler Keduovilie Zumu from Nagaland won the bronze medal in the 90 kg category of Kazakh Kuresh style belt wrestling. Meanwhile, Sourav Kothari assured himself of a medal after winning his semifinal contest in men's billiards singles against Thailand's Thawat Sujaritthurakaran 3-0. India is at 11th spot in the medals tally with 5 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze.
