Cisco Certifications 2020: Overview of Major Changes with the Help of Practice Tests

21:07
When it comes to the certifications in the field of IT, then the Cisco credentials are some of the most recognized and well-respected options. Within the past several months, there have been changes in the IT world, and the Cisco certification programis definitely no exception. To keep up with the ever-changing world of cybersecurity and networking, the company has made significant improvements, and many of them were put into effect since February 24, 2020. In this guide, we will take a look at various changes that have been made so far.

http://www.examsnap.com/300-420-dumps.html

Structural changes to Cisco certifications

The newly introduced Cisco credentials are designed to equip the network engineers and administrators with the skills needed to become highly resourceful in development, automation, security, and networking. The new certification path has taken a major shift from popular routing, wireless, or wireless networking and has made some structural changes to incorporate the modern-day business needs.
In spite of these changes, the certification levels remain intact, with a few tweaks. Basically, you can still pursue the following tracks – CCNA, CCIE, or CCNP. However, you can now also obtain the Cisco Certified Specialist certificate by having CCNA and passing the associated exam. With your CCNP, you can go on to earn the expert-level CCIEcredential and then CCAr.

Let’s look at the updates made at each levelin the Cisco certification program.

          · CCNA updates

CCNA covers skills in networking and security fundamentals, as well as automation and programmability. With the new updates, the old CCNA specialty credentials, including CCNA Wireless, CCNA Cloud, and CCDA, have been retired and the new consolidated certificate has been put in their place. There are no prerequisites for earning the new CCNA certification but Cisco recommends that the candidates have a good understanding of networking basics and broad IP addressing. It will also be an advantage of having a minimum of one-year work experience in the management of Cisco solutions. Instead of the multiple exams in requirements for the old credential, the studentsshould now pass only onetest.

          · CCNP updates

The majority of the CCNP credentials have been retired. With the new updates, the examinees don’t have to start their specialization path at the Associate level anymore. They just cango for CCNP right away without any prior conditions. There are no strict requirements and you may or may not have three to five years of experiencein the field similar to track you chose. To replace eight professional-level certifications, Cisco has introduced five new ones. These are CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Security, and CCNP Service Provider.

Just like we said earlier, there are no formal requirements to be met before earning CCNP. In addition to this, you don’t have to pass the standard three or four exams associated with the old CCNP track. For the new one, you only have to take and pass two tests, including one core and one concentration exams. You can choose the specific test you want from the list of concentration type.

          · CCIE updates

CCIE and CCDE are not left out of the changes. As far as the certification tracks go, there are only six of CCIE under thisnew path. These include CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, CCIE Collaboration, CCIE Data Center, CCIE Wireless, CCIE Security, and CCIE Service Provider. Instead of passing a dedicated written exam, the candidates for the new certificate have to take the qualifying test and then take part in the 8-hour hands-on lab. Each of the CCNP certifications complements CCIE for a smooth shift from the Professional level to the Expert one. The only exception is CCIE Enterprise. For this credential, there are two different tracks to consider: CCIE Enterprise Wireless and CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure. The prerequisites are the same – oneexam and the lab. At the point of fulfilling the lab prerequisite to obtain your CCIE, you can choose between Infrastructure and Wireless.

NewCisco certification path: DevNetseries

Cisco has also introduced the new certification track. This new path is DevNet. It is designed to equip thesoftware developers, DevOps engineers, automation specialists, as well as other software-based professionals with the skills and knowledge required for their day-to-day job requirements. Thoseindividuals who pursue this pathway will develop high capacity in automation, applications, design, and infrastructure development within the network, IoT (Internet of Things), DevOps, and Cloud.

The structure is the same as that of others, starting from the Associate level to Specialist, then Professional, and, finally, Expert. To start this path, you have to take the associate-level exam and then proceed to the Specialist level by passing one test. To pursue the Professional level, you need to take the 350-901 DEVCOR exam and one of the concentration type. The Expert level still has to be announced in the near future. There are no details on how you can obtain the highest level of this track. We recommend that you check the official website for possible updates.

New Cisco recertification policy

Over and beyond the certification path, there are some changes that have also been made to the recertification policy. Instead of the former two to five years, all the Cisco credentials are now valid for a period of three years, with the exception of the Architect level, which still has a five-year validity period.

Conclusion

These are the major updates that have been made to the Cisco certification program. Passing the associated exams ensures that youearnacredential. However, there is a lot of work needed to be involved in preparation. The good news is that there are adequate study materials that you can use to get a complete understanding of the content. Thus, Examsnapis one of the leading platforms that offer up-to-date resources for your preparation process. To get started, it is recommended that you sign up with the website to explore all that it has to offer, including training courses, video tutorials, exam dumps, practice tests, and more.

📰 India eyes record food production

Target of 298.3 million tonnes of foodgrain set after normal monsoon forecast

•On the back of a normal monsoon forecast, the Agriculture Ministry is targeting a record foodgrain production of 298.3 million tonnes for 2020-21, higher than the 291.95 million tonnes estimated for 2019-20.

•According to a presentation made by Agriculture Commissioner Suresh Malhotra at a National Conference on Agriculture-Kharif 2020 Campaign on Thursday, both rice and wheat production targets are minimally higher than the previous year. However, the focus is on driving the growth in pulses, coarse cereals and oilseeds.

•Due to the travel restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Agriculture Ministry’s annual meeting to review the ongoing rabi or winter season harvest and layout prospects for the coming kharif or summer cropping season is being held via video conferencing. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar also interacted with State agriculture departments, briefing them on the measures taken to ensure a smooth and safe rabi harvest in the midst of the lockdown.

Normal rainfall

•On Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department issued its first forecast for the monsoon, predicting normal rainfall, with a chance of above normal rain in August and September.

•The main kharif season crop is rice, and the Agriculture Ministry is targeting a harvest of 102.6 million tonnes, slightly higher than the last kharif season harvest of 101.95 million tonnes. However, it has lowered its rice production target for the next rabi season to 14.9 million tonnes. This means that the total rice production target for 2020-21 is 117.5 million tonnes, barely higher than the previous year's target of 117.47 million tonnes.

•Wheat production is also expected to remain steady, with a 2020-21 target of 106.5 million tonnes, in comparison to the previous year’s estimate of 106.21 million tonnes.

•The Agriculture Ministry hopes to ramp up production of coarse cereals this year, but admits that the challenge is how to create demand for nutricereals or millets. It is targeting a harvest of 48.7 million tonnes in comparison to the previous season’s 45.24 million tonnes.

•With regard to pulses, the target is 25.3 million tonnes compared to the previous season's estimates of 23 million tonnes, with the entire increase projected to come from the kharif season.

Oilseeds major priority

•Oilseeds are a major priority, especially due to the disruption in edible oil imports caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The targeted harvest is 36.64 million tonnes, in comparison to the last season's estimates of 34.19 million tonnes. One challenge could be a shortfall in supply of soyabean seeds to the tune of 3.2 lakh quintals, due to unseasonal rains at the time of harvesting the seed crop.

•The Ministry has also created an action plan for oil palm plantation, given the disruptions in imports. It hopes to cover 31,500 hectares with about 45 lakh seedlings this year, with the bulk of the plantation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
