1) President gives assent to India's first good samaritan bill of Karnataka
•President Ram Nath Kovind has given assent to a bill providing legal protection to the good samaritans in Karnataka, who help accident victims with emergency medical care within the golden hour. 
•The bill - Karnataka Good Samaritan and Medical Professional (Protection and Regulation during Emergency Situations) Bill, 2016 -- received the President's assent today. 
•With this, Karnataka has become the first state in the country to give legal protection to good samaritans.
2) PM Inaugurates Modern Food Processing Facilities And Pipeline Projects In Gujarat
•Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the state-of-the-art chocolate plant of Amul dairy set up with an investment of about 190 crore rupees at Mogar village in Anand district of Gujarat. 

•Mr Modi also inaugurated a take-home ration plant of 600 tonnes per day and a ready-to-use therapeutic food plant with monthly capacity of 600 tonnes along with the incubation center cum center of excellence in food processing for promoting entrepreneurs and startup.

3) Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reaches Agra on first leg of his two-day visit to India
•Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reached Agra today on the first leg of his two-day visit to India. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation. The visiting dignitary, who is on his maiden visit to India, visited the Taj Mahal during his stay in Agra. He will leave for New Delhi later in the day.

•Tomorrow, Mr Mirziyoyev will hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House. He will also meet President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. 

•The Uzbek President will be paid a Guard of Honour at Rashtrapati Bhawan after which he will visit Raj Ghat and pay homage to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

4) Yuvraj Wadhwani Lifts Asian Junior Squash Title
•Yuvraj Wadhwani has won the 25th Asian junior individual squash championship title. He defeated Anas Ali Shah of Pakistan by 13-11, 11-5, 6-11, 12-10 in the final in Chennai. Yuvraj has become the second Indianto win the Under-13 title after Veer Chotrani, who had won the title in 2014 in Iran. In the Under15 section, Arnav Sareen settled for the runner-up spot. The Pune boy lost to Mohammad Hamza Khan of Pakistan in the final.

•India came out of the championship with a gold, a silver and four bronze medals. The bronze medals came in the other age categories through Kavya Bansal, Tiana Parasrampuria, Sanya Vats and Tushar Shahani.
