1) World Malaria Day being observed on 25 April
•World Malaria Day is observed globally on 25 April every year. This day is observed to spread awareness among people globally to fight against malaria.

World Malaria Day 2020: Theme

•The theme of World Malaria Day 2020 is “Zero malaria starts with me.” To End Malaria WHO joins the RBM Partnership in promoting “Zero malaria starts with me”. It is a grassroots campaign with an objective to keep malaria high on political agenda, mobilize additional resources ane empower communities to take ownership of malaria prevention and care.

2) International Delegate’s Day observed globally on 25 April
•International Delegate’s Day observed globally on 25 April every year. This day is observed to raise awareness of the role of the representatives and delegates of the Member States to the United Nations.

•International Delegate’s Day marks the anniversary of the first day of the San Francisco Conference which is also known as the United Nations Conference on International Organization. This year is the 75th anniversary of the San Francisco Conference.

3) Manipur Govt commemorates “Khongjom Day” at War Memorial Complex
•The Government of Manipur commemorated “Khongjom Day” at Khongjom War Memorial Complex, Thoubal, Manipur. This day is observed to remember the people who valiantly fought in the Anglo-Manipuri War in 1891.

•Khongjom War Memorial Complex is a historical site that holds the tallest statute of Sword in the world, was constructed in remembrance of the people who fought in the war.

4) UP becomes 1st state with in-house facility of virtual courts
•Uttar Pradesh has become the 1st state with a software-based in-house facility of virtual courts, where requisite infrastructure in Allahabad High Court and all its courts for hearing cases through video conferencing.

•The courts can conduct multiple court proceedings through virtual courts within the court premises without any internet connection. The facility is completely secure, the connectivity is flawless & only existing infrastructure was used and no additional costs were incurred to provide the facilities.

5) Iran launches its 1st military satellite “Noor” into orbit
•Iran has successfully launched its first-ever military satellite named “Noor” into the orbit. ‘Noor’ satellite has reached its orbit and is orbiting 425 km above the earth’s surface.

•This satellite is launched by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps [IRGC], a branch of the country’s armed forces. The Noor satellite was launched by a three-stage rocket which was powered by a combination of solid and liquid fuels.

6) CISF launches app ‘e-karyalay’ for movement of files
•Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has launched an e-office application named ‘e-karyalay’. This application helps to enable the movement of files and documents of CISF without any physical touch. This has been done in order to prevent coronavirus infection due to frequent touching of files by many persons.

•This application has been hosted at CISF cloud with all security arrangements in place to safeguard the data. ‘Dak’ or letters management section of the app handles all sorts of communication between various levels of functional hierarchy.

7) Sanjay Kothari takes oath as Central Vigilance Commissioner
•Sanjay Kothari took oath as Central Vigilance Commissioner of India. He has been selected as the new Central Vigilance Commissioner by a high-powered committee headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prior to this, he has served as the Secretary to the President.
