UPSC IES ISS Recruitment 2017 | Apply For 44 UPSC Indian Economic & Statistical Services Vacancies

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited all the interested, eligible candidates to appear for Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination 2017.
According to official notification, the examination will be held on May 12 at various test centres across the nation.
Meanwhile, the online application process has already begun and candidates can apply for the same till March 3.
Further, to access the application form they will have to login into the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) system.

How to apply:

In order to apply for the same, all the candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps:

  • Log on to the official website, upsconline.nic.in
  • Click on the relevant link
  • Create a user login
  • Enter all the required details in a prescribed format

Important note:  

  • Candidates must keep in mind that the application process comprises two stages
  • Candidature of applicants who fail to complete both the stages will be rejected.

Application fee:

All the candidates need to pay Rs 200 for each application form.
Female candidates and candidates from the SC/ST/PH category are exempted from paying application fee.

Scheme of examination:

The Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination will be conducted in two stages:
  1. The written exam carrying a maximum of 1000 marks.
  2. The Viva voce (oral exam) carrying a maximum of 200 marks.
There will be negative marking for wrong answers by a candidate in the objective type question papers.
All question papers must be answered in English.
Meanwhile, the results of the written part of the examination will be declared by August, 2017.
